I received excellent service from Import Specialty. My service advisor was Ryder. I received excellent service from Import Specialty. My service advisor was Ryder. I had a problem with my Mercedes Smart Key. I initially called Mercedes Benz of Nashville. It took three calls from me to finally get to speak to a service advisor. I was told it probably was not the key it was more likely to be the Electronic Ignition System. They were going to charge $175.00 to tow the car in and then charge me to run diagnostics on the car. They would not give me an exact amount to replace the key and/or replace the EIS. All the service advisor told me it would be about $2,000.00 to get the towing, key and EIS repaired. Ryder gave me an exact amount to replace the key and he would not speculate on the cost of replacing the EIS. He told me that they would start with the key and check to see if it was faulty. He did not quote a price on the EIS. He kept me updated once they got the key programmed to the car. It turned out it was a faulty key. Import Specialty could have charged me to replace the EIS. I was at their mercy. Their honesty, attention to detail and keeping me informed are what will keep me coming back. I will have my other cars repaired at this shop. I appreciate all they did for me with this repair. Keep up the excellent work. I have already referred friends to this shop and will continue to recommend Import Specialty.
